New J-O-B

I have a new full-time job! I will be working for a company in Boston doing what I like to do. I will go down there once a week to have meetings and synch up with my team, but the rest of the time I am free to watch the birds come to the birdfeeder up here in Maine. I am pretty excited about the job; this is a company I have freelanced for in the past so I know a lot of the people there already.

Cool Website

It feels very 1999 of me to be posting cool websites, but I came across instructables today and it is a great idea: people post tutorials, illustrate them step-by-step with photos, and other people can comment, ask questions, etc. It's a nicely designed site that feels very usable. I'm not planning to make any super-bright bike lights or weird bookshelves anytime soon, but it is a nice resource.

Two Unrelated Thoughts

1. I hate the smell of patchouli. Somebody in the coffee shop this morning smelled so strongly of it that I can still smell it in my nostrils.

2. I'm off to Ithaca! Back Sunday. My mom is moving to a new house in the country on Monday, so this may be my last chance to salvage stuff from the old house.
